Jon Bonynge

Licensed Broker, REALTOR®
Jon Bonynge - Broker & Passionate Outdoor Enthusiast

With decades of experience helping buyers and sellers all across western Oregon, Jon Bonynge brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the real estate industry. Since earning his broker’s license in 2001, Jon has been committed to turning his clients' real estate dreams into reality. His deep understanding of both residential and rural properties allows him to expertly guide clients through every step of the buying or selling process.

Before entering real estate, Jon spent 10 years running Crow Valley Forestry, Inc., leading teams on forest labor contracts across the Pacific Northwest. This hands-on experience, combined with his education in Forestry Technology from Chemeketa Community College, provides Jon with a unique perspective on land use, property value, and resource management—critical assets when working with clients seeking homes, farms, or timber properties.

When Jon isn’t immersed in real estate, he devotes time to his other passions—avid gardening and hobby farming. On his Alvadore acreage, Jon and his family tend to pastures, timber, a sprawling vegetable garden, and various fruit trees. His love for working the land is matched only by his enjoyment of tinkering with the 90+ cars he’s owned over the years.

An outdoor enthusiast, Jon enjoys spending time  fishing   Oregon’s rivers, lakes and coastline. Whether he's casting a line or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the region, Jon draws inspiration from the outdoors, which enriches both his personal life and professional approach.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jon is actively involved in his community. He has served as a volunteer coordinator and coach for the Special Olympics of Eugene/Springfield, a volunteer chaperone for Trips Inc., an all-inclusive special needs travel agency, and a job coach for Oregon Supported Living.

Jon’s decades of experience in real estate, coupled with his diverse background in forestry, farming, and community service, enable him to provide exceptional service and insight to his clients. His comprehensive approach, from land management to home sales, ensures that each client receives the personalized attention and expertise they deserve.

Raving Reviews

Jon was great and very helpful, He is someone you can trust, Jon basically picked the house for me after looking at houses that I only saw pictures of, he negotiated and did everything with me, I am 1000 miles away in southern California, did not see the house till after I bought it, very happy with his recommendation, So if you can not make it to Eugene but still want to buy a house there, or if you are there, he is your man, experienced and very reasonable.
Jon was incredibly helpful in helping us sell our house and find our new home. He listened to our wants and needs, was always quick to respond and was super helpful when we had questions. I would recommend him to anyone!
I was in the market looking for a home a couple years ago. I could not find an agent that I felt like I could click with. A brief pause in the search and two years later, I was referred to Jon by a friend of a friend, who also worked with Jon in buying and selling their home. I was ready to buy a house, but didn't know what I wanted. Jon is extremely down to earth and was extremely helpful in pointing me in the right direction and helping me find my first home. Not only was Jon very flexible with my schedule, but he encouraged me to be picky with my homes, ultimately helping me find what is now my perfect home! Jon worked patiently with me (and my finances) and was very understanding in the changes. As we began looking at houses, Jon sent me resources that helped me understand the home-buying process, as well as what to expect. He answered all my questions and took the time to explain things to me. He was always available to help me and seems to have lots of knowledge in more than just real estate, which also helped me in choosing the right property. Jon did a great job negotiating on my behalf and made me feel comfortable taking this huge step in my life. After the purchase, Jon still made sure to make me feel like he was still here for me, even though everything had been finalized. 11/10, I would recommend Jon to anyone that is looking to buy.
Jon is super patient, knowledge of the area, and got us a great home and price! He was always quick to respond and he explained everything about the process to us. He even took the time to check in on us throughout the first year in our new home! He’s an incredible agent!
Working with Jon was great. Jon has a lot of experience and really knows the local area. Jon is very personable and gives clients the information, so the client can make the best decision. I used Jon when I had bought the house I just sold. I would use Jon again if I were looking for housing in the Eugene area. Not only is Jon a great realtor, he is also a wonderful human being. Of you want someone real, you will want Jon.
